Our sincere condolences go to the President and People of Malawi on the sad loss of the First Lady, Mrs Ethel Mutharika. May her soul rest in peace.

    On Mother’s Day, 2005, the First Lady wrote a poem for all Mothers. If anyone has a copy of it, I would like to add it to this site, as it was the most touching poem I have ever read about Mothers. God bless. x

    My family and I would like to express our deep sorrow to our President Dr Bingu Wa Mutharika on the loss of his Dear wife Ethel. We know how painful it is to lose a loved one.

    My Family and I would like to express my deep sorrow to His Excellency Dr Bingu Wa Mutharika on the loss of his wife.The late Madam Ethel Mutharika was a dignified lady,quiet,caring and fit for her position as first Lady, we shall miss her a lot.
    May Her Soul rest in peace and May the Almighty God be with our President in these difficult times.
